Jamie is a multifaceted audio professional with a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia (Film, Photography, and Music) from The Evergreen State College and a Master Certificate in Creative Nonfiction Writing from the University of Denver.
Throughout his decades-long career, Jamie has established himself as an engineer, producer, and mixing specialist. His technical expertise and artistic sensibility have made him a sought-after collaborator across genres. Known for capturing authentic performances, he adds subtle production elements that enhance without overwhelming the artist’s vision. Jamie has collaborated extensively with Gregory Alan Isakov, producing, mixing, and performing on many of his records, including the Grammy-nominated “Evening Machines.” He has also worked closely with Nathaniel Rateliff from his early solo work through much of the Night Sweats catalog.
As a touring professional, Jamie has served as front-of-house engineer for Gregory Alan Isakov, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats. His live mixing credits also include shows with Chance the Rapper, Leif Vollebeck, Mandolin Orange, Josh Ritter, Iron and Wine, and many numerous others along the way.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Jamie spent his formative years in Brussels, Belgium, before returning to the United States. He has lived primarily in Colorado’s Front Range, and now resides in a historic post office building in the mining ghost town of Silver Plume, Colorado. He currently splits his time between the high Rockies and Tucson, Arizona. When not in the studio, Jamie explores the mountains and desert landscapes near his homes and embarks on extended biycle touring adventures throughout the US, Mexico, Central, and South America.
